Who We Are

A home where recovery is nurtured every day.

Our Supported Living Mental Health Recovery Service exists to offer adults a safe and stabilising place to rebuild their lives after periods of crisis, hospital admission or unstable community living.

We work with people living with enduring or episodic mental health needs. Our role is to walk alongside each person as they regain confidence, independence and hope — with structure, compassion and meaningful support.

Our Purpose

Recover, grow and move forward.

01Feel safe and respectedA calm environment where each person is heard, valued and supported.
02Rebuild everyday skillsPractical help with routines, social confidence and independent living.
03Reconnect with lifeSupport to access community, education, employment and leisure opportunities.
04Move forward at your paceRecovery plans are reviewed as needs, goals and confidence change.
Respect, dignity and choice remain at the centre.
Who We Support

A steady next step after mental health crisis or hospital care.

We support medically stable adults aged under or over 65 who can engage in a structured recovery programme. Some have experienced repeated admissions or placement breakdowns; each person deserves time to rebuild.

Our Home and Environment

Each resident has a private, furnished single room and access to shared facilities and communal spaces. Staff are present 24 hours a day, and clear house expectations help keep the environment calm and welcoming.

Activities and Social Inclusion

We support access to local facilities, education, vocational training and employment opportunities. Life skills, spiritual needs, home visits where appropriate and celebrations of important life events can all be part of a person’s plan.

Benefits of Step-Down Care

Our aim is to help people manage their mental health, reduce the risk of further crises and hospital readmission, and build the confidence to live more independently. We also help with practical steps such as housing, benefits and PIP applications.

DeepSeal is a recovery-focused supported living service, not an emergency crisis service, detox unit or inpatient clinical ward. Suitability is considered individually.

How We Work

A clear path from first conversation to ongoing support.

Good support starts with understanding the person. We keep each stage clear, collaborative and focused on what matters in everyday life.

See our full approach
01

Initial Conversation

We listen to the individual, family or professionals involved and understand the situation, priorities and immediate needs.

02

Assessment & Planning

Together, we shape a practical plan around routines, goals, risks, preferences and the right level of support.

03

Support Begins

Care is introduced in a respectful, organised way with clear communication between the person and everyone involved.

04

Review & Adapt

We review how support is working and respond as needs, confidence, routines or goals change over time.

Nothing is one-size-fits-all. The process remains centred on dignity, choice and the individual’s changing needs.
